In addition, more than 400 study abroad programs in over fifty countries are available to UB students through State University of New York campuses.

These programs offer the full range of study abroad opportunities in terms of not only academics, but also language and cultural experience. Students participate in these programs to satisfy degree requirements, improve foreign language skills, gain experience applicable to a variety of internationally oriented career fields, or simply expand personal horizons through experience in another culture.

Programs are offered during the full academic year, individual fall and spring semesters, summer sessions, and January intersession. Together they represent countless courses in more than 100 fields of study. Some specific programs are highlighted below; for a complete listing, please refer to the UB Study Abroad Programs web site.

For those who wish to study in an English-speaking environment during the academic year, exchanges are offered at such institutions as the universities of Sheffield, Kent, and Leicester, England; at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in Vadodara, India; at the University of Oulu, Finland; at Korea University in Seoul, Korea; at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore; at Istanbul Technical University in Turkey; and at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Exchange programs like these often make the full range of the foreign institution's courses available to participants.

Summer language and cultural opportunities are available in Darmstadt, Germany; Tokyo, Japan; Monterrey, Mexico; and Salamanca, Spain. An additional summer program focusing on environmental studies in Queensland, Australia, is offered every two years, while students in any field may find our summer program in South Africa of interest. Field trips and excursions to historical, cultural, and industrial sites are built into most of these programs.
